According to Mediobanca (areastudimediobanca.com) Italy is the leading exporter of wine in quantity (21,24 million hectoliters in 2023 and the second in value - 7.7 billion euros behind only France's 11.9 billion )

In Italy 253 main Italian joint-stock companies have a turnover exceeding 20 million euros and revenues aggregated for 12 billion euros equal to 88,4 % of the sector's national turnover.
